Road Trip to KL (10th-12thApril) or rather on an alcohol drip

Thursday night
onederland with aldrin at zouk

party ended at 5am

7:30am

IM UP!

9:30am
all aboard

went past SG customs at 1015am
we were stuck in the most horrendous jam ever.
n its so sick that there were no U-turns available midway. it was a point of no return.
felt like we moved only 100km for every half an hour.
After 3 hours of " are we thereee yet?"

miss p had to puke
1st attempt with daniel=no good
2nd attempt with sarah= her guts were on the floor hahaahaha
after finishing 3km in 4 hours (walking wld have been so much easier)
we made it past customs
the 1st road stop
im like really impressed with his car
it was comfy inside and the long ride was essentially quiet

dan took over and it was nothing but dark clouds n torrential rains

think he hit a 180-200km/hr whenever there was a dry patch so we actually finished 100+km in 1 hour and half
we swapped drivers again
finally in KL at 430pm

then we relied on the GPS to get to the Ascott KL

we got ourselves a 2 bedroom service apartment

horribly tired and famished

it was 5ish and we seriously wanted a meal before we took a nap
so we went to 7ate9 , a resturant/club below the Ascott
at the entrance;hostess said no slippers so we had to head up to change

starters: calamari, spicy wings and a 7ate9salad
which was alright
lobster bisque arrived cold and the only piece of lob meat i had was almost rare
when i swallowed it, i thought they had mushrooms in it mixed with lobster

then came the mains and it was sorely disappointing
"foie gras juicy beef patty burger "arrived and it came in the form of 2 tiny burgers
how come the word "mini" didnt appear anywhere in the menu?

"seafood platter" came and it was the most miniscule platter i've ever seen
it was like 2 tiny nuggets of prawns, calamari and the words

"lobster thermidor and salmon fillet" came and it was a huge slab of salmon with a finger-sized lobster meat on top of it.
we were so hungry and so mad that we all got tricked hahhaa
went back up for a nice nap before chee minh ( our KL mate) came over to pick us up for drinks

Luna Bar was real pretty.
it was an open-sky lounge fitted on the perimeter of a swimming pool.
from where we sat , we could see the KL Tower and if we walked across to the other side, it was the Petronas towers
they had booth seats which were little glass capsules that looked over the city and the mooOn was right there on top of us : )

daniel looking a weee bit happy. spelt Luna as LUAN
this was for chee minh's never ending polaroid project.

we were so unsatisfied with our mini dinner, we requested for local supper and so we had Nasi Lemak teteh which came in little banana leaf pyramids
day 2
we missed our breakkie which ended at 10am
cheeminh came at 12! and we were brought to this coffeeshop which had YUMMY EVERYTHING

char kway teow =ichiban, minced pork kwayteow=comfort food

and the EGGTARTS were SMACKTASTIC
all these at win heng seng at jalan imbi KL
(not far from the ritz carltoN)

he brought us to Pavilion, a new mall which had every Major brand
from gucci to juciy couture to ferraris ( very much like Paragon at BKK)

i walked into F21 and topshop
n F21 stock shoes!
both stores were huge and they had very pretty window displays
but shopping back home in SG is really much cheaper
and F21 seemed to only have size M and L and hardly and size S

the top we're selling at ATBU for sgd$28, going for RM115

the entire day was meant for the malls but it rained heavily and we were stuck at sungei wang
pris n i were tired so our ears lit up when the boys suggested to split
we immediately looked for a manicure parlour to do our nails while the boys did their thing hahhaaha

wanted to buy fakies but the shop was closed.
after we were done, mery called to tell me how upset she was with one of our suppliers.
the shipment didnt look anything at all like the sample piece she gaves us, grey became khaki... straps were all crooked, the extremeely good material and the boned part disappeared and she gave us lousy jersey material.
im just glad we didnt put all our eggs into a basket, we have another supplier doing other designs.
all that info gave me a nightmare that very night.

dinner was an hour drive away from KL city
it was seafood
pok chim

it looks like normal steam crabs but in real, the shells were really tasty , think it was smoked with something, so most of us ended up licking our crab shells like dogs and their bones

n another great dish was larvae

haha no la, mantis prawns which were crispy and delish

seafood overdose

and it was to a local hawker centre for some ice kachang :D

the night ended ay 11 and when we went back to the hotel
our master bedroom was locked from the inside and we had to wait for someone to open for us,
after our shower
our hairdryer was burning up

to which the staff sent a new one to replace and security to open the master bedroom

got our asss out of the room by 1230pm

membership in zouk can be bought in KL, and they seem so friendly on their tv screens

velvet looked exactly like velvet in singapore, cept' it's a lil bigger n they didnt have murakmi posters on the wall
it was Mambo on friday and Saturday @ velvet
while the songs came on, their respective MTVS were being played as well

phuture was soo packed n it was 2 floors instead of one

then we scrambled to zouk cos we couldnt take the pushing and tugging

flamin lamborghinis which looked like our waterfalls

girls only on the podium

SUpper was RAMLEY BURGERS
pris has never tasted one before we since were in KL we had to make sure she ate one

the 1st ramley in P's mouth! : )

Next morning, we missed breakfast again and got up in time to check out

this time we checked out Delicious which was a cafe situated next to 7ate9 in the next block at Marc Residences
the layout of the place was so pretty in turqouise-y hues and white

we were contemplating between breakfast and scrambled eggs but after we peeped at the table next to us, we ordered breakfast instead.
haha and the waitress told us to move to a bigger table cos we ordered too much .
every single dish was DELICIOUS. wished we went there for breakfast everyday.or if someone brings this to singapore, that'll be great.
frankly speaking, we were not spared by the Rain everyday >:|
it poured again on us after brunch

the concierge at the marc were unfriendly, they weren';t even willing to lend us a brolly so that we can get more brollies from the car
we ended up taking a cab back.that really pissed me off. i would lend my brolly anytime to anyone who needs it.

bubyee ascott. 3 cars with the same "14" number plate.there was a lambo next to the Porsche. can't imagine how rich this one is.

end of roadtrip

it was fun : ) the company i had completed the entire trip.

n now i have Monday to recover and run errands for the blogshop.
mery has left for indo for a week and im gonna cover her for now.
im all ready to go give that supplier a big piece of my mind.
