It was quite an interesting month for Mery.
She got hired and works in the same building as me wheehee!
The day before she started we were suppose to launch something but we figured it was gonna be her last day of the "taitai" life that she's been having for the past few months so we decided to postpone that and we headed down to
marmalade pantry for tea and then to Balenciaga to get her bag which she reserved a while ago.
We didn't feel like shopping so we decided to walk-into the aesthetics clinic at Wheelock on a whim. and asked all about botox and everything that we wanted to know with the Dr. We paid $50 and I've given up hope on those invasive injections for boobs and stuff HAHAHA
But Botox. I think Botox is gonna be one of those stuff that i might try for my wrinkly wrinkles on the forehead.
Next day, she called me at 7am cos it was her 1st day at work and oh gosh in my haste to pick up her phone call, i got into an accident with another car on the CTE !HAHAA my car kissed the back of lady driver who happened to be a nurse on the extreme right lane and thank gdness i just had to pay $300+ and not more when we settled it at the workshop ...
So there, I lost my shopping and gossip kaki on the weekdays :( and i cld only see her on Sundays to take photos.
Am devastated but yet happy cos i know she 's thoroughly excited abt her new job.
Thinking I would be more free on the weekdays,I signed up with Fitness First at 1george st and omg the pool! the view of the pool is super amazing.
love it. shall take pictures next time. And guess who did i bump into? Dave! doing lunges and all before his national day stint lol.
Watched Singdollar with Pris and her brother cos our darling gina caught the Flu-ey and was quarantined for a week .
But we finally met up pre national day weekend.
Food was not too bad wagyu beef and roti john and the mentai pasta was shiok!
Pris was really sweet to bake cupcakes for meee! : ) and she saved one for Keith as well. August/Sept is truly the month of birthdays mann.
Next day was Potluck at Mike's and Leona's. Can u actually believe the house was SOUNDPROOFED??!

The weekend after was a trip to Batam . Dudes and dudettes from work and another firm wanted to cable -ski. I just went along to get some sun but it was glooomy every single day : (
We stayed at the Holiday Inn which had impeccable service and we had crazy drinking sessions by the balcony, i was surprised no one lodged any complaints abt us.
The only thing that salvaged the trip for me was Anna and the massage .
I had my monthly so i was upset we couldnt go for the baths and hydro stuff : (
Next day back in the office, I received a text from Mery.
Mery: "Babe you in town? Wanna go to xxx after work? anyway perry proposed in indo omgggg!"
Sarah: "OMG ARE U MARRIED??!"
Mery:" Waahaa not married lah, err engaged?"
Sarah:( in 3 seperate msgs)"AAAH!!!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"Congrats!!!!"
"HOW?!?"
Mery:"haha RELAX BABE!"
Sarah:"Im very happy for you OMG! how does it feeL? Are you shocked?"
Mery:" yeah i was totally shocked! he made a musical box and all, i actually teared wahaha but it was a simple one"
Sarah:" omg CONGRATS!how does it feel Oh gosh. so happy for u!"
"OMG Mery lordianto poon! im like so amazed he did it. You're so lucky! I'll be your bridesmaid and everything you need and the godma of ur kid!" hahahaa
SO apparently, im gonna be one of their MCs for their wedding cos well I was basically there to witness the entire court-ship hence love since uni year 2 mann. HAHA : ) LOTSA STORIES TO SHARE! : )

The following weekend. It was Anna's and Sarah's birthday night out.

dan got me a really weird drink which was a concoction of many many spirits and i puked 4 times on a nearly empty tummy and KO-ed by 10pm.
I was abt to go home until Pris rang dan and said i MUST GO TO OVEREASY. so he took me on a $20 cab ride from bq to nowhere n eventually ended up at one fullerton.
Pris made me red velvet cupcakes with jam and they were heavennnlY!!!
i was so happy cos the first time i tried them , i told her i wanted them for my bday and look who made it all come true?
apparently lotsa pple were celebrating their bdays as well so everyone from sch was there. felt like a School Night or reunion of somesort HAHA.

Next day, we were suppose to to check into Sentosa Spa Resort.

we ordered lunch by the pool before our massage
chicky breast wrap yumyum, stuffed with lotsa yummy sweet carrots too haha
the masseuse kneaded long strokes on me and it felt so good cos of the hangover & very bad flu vibes
we laid in the pool for quite a bit and went to the mud "bath" which didnt have a pool to dip in anymore, so we had to cover ourselves in deep sea mud and let it dry for 20 mins before heading to the shower
For dinner:we went back to the room and ordered room service, food was great as well

Pris, Gina and Daniel made me a happy girl on my birthday weekend despite me being really down with the flu and snoring really loudly at night HAHA.
On Aug 28th, mery and i went down to the SPH for our very first interview with the straits times : )
giddy with excitement we wore our SMooch toga bandage dresses for the photo shoot.

Apparently 5 blogshops were featured and we were one of them. but I have this strange feeling it might not make it to Life! cos it's been 3 weeks and still no story : (
went for a freeflow event at NAB after the shoot it was too windy so original plans of it being held on the helicopter pad were laid off...
and i was there with the beautiful yanna and anna : P
