Made a trip to Jakarta for my very first time to visit Mery and her new home.
She is now based in Indonesia helping out in her family's steel business, so she's really busy Mondays to Saturdays but thank gdness she'll come back to singapore once a month *phew*
Seeing her at the airport was like a huge relief, felt like forever since I saw her and we couldn't stop taaaalking hahaha
she's def not gonna update her blog anytime soon cos I know how busy she is hehehe

They are still waiting for their kitchen set but I love their living room wall! hehe
they're still missing stuff like a bigger tv and all..
but they have the weekends to shop for furniture and slowly fill it up
love the chandeliers and the colour scheme :)
the entire neighbourhood is like a scene off Wisteria Lane.
well decorated houses with pretty lawns and garages.
we stayed at the hotel where perry proposed to her heheee

If you ever head to Jakarta, remember to try authentic indonesian food at Satay Senayan
the satay meat's so tenderiffic soft, it puts most satay stalls at ChompChomp to shame.
the satay is served on hot charcoal :)
Avocado shakes+gula melaka and indonesian drip coffee served vietnamese style tasted so good :)
The entire first day was spent roaming Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia.
it's just like Hong Kong. extensive wide range of Brands except that I didn't see a Miu Miu or a Balenciaga outlet.
they seriously love their birkins and chanels.
Malls were littered with girls in nicely blown hair, let's see:
a typical outfit would be skinny jeans + hermes belt+ fitted polo tee tucked in+louboutins+ birkin +hermes scarf and a big watch.
But the malls were mostly empty.
When Perry was done, we wanted to head down to Paulaner Brauhaus at GI but the waiting list was too long so hungry us settled for dinner at Ninety Nine at the basement.

Somewhere towards the end of the meal, the lights of the entire building went out
haha poons joked over it and said " welcome to indonesia" where power failures are very normal
But it took them almost 15mins to get the power supply back on and all i could think off were pple who were trapped in the lifts
everyone hushed and became quiet, no one said " everything is okay" so all kinda thoughts were racing in my head.. I was expecting some kinda gunshot haha. Was gripping Des' and her hands very tightly. we paid for our bill and left the building just to be safe :)
Spent Friday evening at her Sister's place catching up
Next Day:
Went to their neighbourhood's only shopping mall called SUPERMALL :) hahhaa
it had EVERYTHING from cinemas to electrical appliances...
even Debenhams stocked Missha so Mery's very contented.
She insisted we try "Bak mee" and then Sour Sally.
they only had melon and original :)

Spent the afternoon at Plaza Senayan where I finally saw mid-range labels like Topshop, Bebe, Miss Selfridge and the like hahaha
one question i'll like to ask the indons
with malls 3times the size of Takashimaya everywhere in the country , why on earth do you have to come to Singapore?
that i got it figured, gotta be the shopping atmosphere, everything is less uptight here hahaha
Our 2nd failed attempt to watch a movie...
the first was suppose to be at Velvet where you could watch movie while lying in beds complete with blankets hahahaha the second was at Plaza Senayan where seats were sold out and didya know..
they don't have an online movie ticketing system!!!

Had to meet ex sch mates Nico and Si Hui for dinner at Kemang
killed time at the Papillion which was a lifestyle concept shop :)
Their little cafe reminded me of Vanilla in Bangkok :)

the girls watched SATC while the boys were drinking beer and talking abt golf/ work...
Ended the night at Blowfish :)
it was ramadan period so alot of night places didn't serve Alcohol... thankfully Blowfish was running as normal
hehe think it was their first time out to have drinks & no birthday is complete without getting smashed!!!
my friends have it easy.1 hr into the night and i was kneeling on the floor and puking in perry's new car :( hahaahaha *sorry perry, love you hahaha*

and it's an awesome hotel. everyone please go there for brunch!!!
