GDBYE 2009!
Everyone in the office were in high spirits :)
Had a cozy lunch at Majestic Hotel with the entire family from dad's side.
Food was good and the company was great as well :)
Pris managed to secure a table at Overeasy and we were pleasantly surprised when we were placed outdoors right next to the water :)
We're so glad Johan joined us as well! the last time we spent NYE together was when G was in HKG 3 years ago! darlin' G had to be at the esplanade to work and we really missed her!

our first time having the donuts + omgooosh it was delisssh. the donuts were warm and crusty
can u believe they ran out of forks haha and it was way before 11pm , we were so sad that they didnt' wanna serve Long Island Teas till past 12am so we settled for champagne, mohjitos and wine

undisputely,one of the best NYE display of fireworks , there were 2 going on concurrently, one at the esplanade side and the other was right above our heads.think it went on for a gd 10 mins and we had such a great view
i was so excited cos im such a sucker for them n i've never been so close to one before

Tabitha met Mery & I for some major discussion for the blogshop.
She's gonna help us out next year :)
It would be fun, we're trying to pyscho her into posing for us LOL :)
She said she'll try her best to help us reach out to another 300-500 customers n that is what we need cos we have yet to advertise anywhere since the start of the blogshop through peggy chang's personal blog :)
We received quite a number of emails from customers who were really pleased with their Elodie Waterfall dresses :) I shall call them the "ah jies" of online shopping in sg cos these ladies have the spending power and have quite an influence on silent readers of forums like cozycot, so imagine how surprised we were when they commended the dress to be really well-made in terms of cutting, material and design.
*phew*
what a morale booster :) mery & i will keep working hard on the SMooch items :) thank you so much for the kind support.
29th Dec : High tea at St Regis
Johan came back in time for NYE! :)
high tea was affordably priced at $35++ and it includes sandwiches, pastries,cakes and a choice of quiche/satay/currypuff+ choice of tea and rose champagne
we really loved the salmon sandwiches with little specks of ikura and seaweed on it
but after 2 bottles of wine , we had to pay abt $100 each?
they have a huge selection of tea and i ordered the paris+singapore blend,
pris had the smoky russian, brendan had the napolean and jojo had the singapore breakfast tea
high tea went well until i KO-ed in the middle of it. 2 glasses of white wine and i blacked out in the toilet & pris wanted to disown me as a friend. it was probably caused by a combination of exhaustion from work and an empty tummy. ahha but all i needed was a quick nap and i was finee
thank gdness i didnt drive so we took a lil walk and a bus to 313 somerset to meet up the rest.
the last time we both took a bus together was back in acjc mann.. so we were reminiscing the bus 106 days
absolutely loved this lilac rosette top i bought from topshop
so it was a public holiday for me as well. we probably had less than 5 public holidays this year pfft.
spent lunch with parents at Taste Paradise at Mosque street and decided to change my hair colour LOL
the roots were growing out again and i really dreaded them.

Boxing Day was a wedding affair for our family and a friend of mine
invitation read quarter past two and i read it as 245pm ahaha so i was late and i was in time to catch the bride before she did her walk :P
her bridesmaids were decked in pink saris and the bestmen were in orange punjabi suits haha
clarissa studied in myprimary sch and was my netball vcap in junior college & her lil sis went to the same sec sch as me
she's one of those girls who were always good in all sports and she's really attractive+smartysmarts
haha i'm so happy for her : ) sanjeev is sooo lucky!
At night, we attended my uncle vincent's wedding :)
his bride is from HK so his wedding involves 2 wedding dinners: one in sg and the second one in hkg
he told me he booked the ballroom at fourseasons a year ago and he did all the prep in sg mostly by himself hahaha AM SO PROUD OF HIM :)
i want a husband like that too!
his wife is gorgeous and eloquent & they both look so gd together
After the family affair, Jesley & I went over to susu's place for a xmas party

Mery and I decided to get a room at Rasa as it would have been her first time going for one and possibly the last before she gets married :)
Our girlfriends brought drinks and we totally knocked ourselves out
someone actually had a lil wedding solemnisation at the corner and the sound checks were going on, so u can imagine how noisy it was
night before : g & p in my tops from zara haha
the sneaky two came to my room the night before and decided to take a few pieces , proving their point that i would never know if anything was missing anyway & true enough on saturday: i was like "hey, i have the same top "
before heading out
when we were at wavehouse, this frenchie walked up to mery and i
and said
"i know you both"
"hmm we don't think so, you must have got the wrong girls"
and he said "i think you two girls sell clothes online"
& our jaws dropped cos how on earth would he know right?
then he said his ex gf use to camp on our url from his laptop and he said the hat i wore was so familiar hehe so could it be the havana dress?
& he was so game to say " haha let's take a picture, i must be your first male fan!"
Apparently, he's a commodities trader and he's been in sg for abt 10 yrs now.
ahh mery and i were so amused.
after the first site recce, we went back to the room for more champagne!
i KO_ed for an hour hahaaha before we headed out again

some pics were taken with a panasonic lumix lx-3
some were taken with a canon ixus 100
i'm using canon ixus 80 but it's spoiled. always switching on and off by itself!
panasonic lumix lx-3 is damn good but a little too bulky for me. don't feel like getting canon anymore coz i've always been a canon loyal hahaha
any nice recommendations on which camera to get? preferably not too ex like above $700!
