Not my week

Happy 2010.

Had a really bad start for the week. Aussie mining stocks rallied like C R A Z Y , n I can't believe I missed out on some of the action cos I was busy tryin to make up for  my losses in some non-mining stocks.

Some on my portfolio: AGO, CBH, BPT, ESG touched  new highs and at a rate too fast ( 7%,26%, 6.28%,13% respectively) so ASX had to issue speeding tickets.

6th Jan:

Got into a car accident with this seriously shitty dude.

It happened in the car park.

I was clearly in the wrong: didn't realise I was in the wrong direction and while I was reversing,I didn't see him coming out of his lot my left, I was making sure I wouldn't hit the bonnets of the cars parked nearest to me on my right by looking at the right sideview mirror & rearview mirror only.

So what happened was: i heard my censor go "beep" and i stopped cos i thought i was reversing too closely to the bonnets then i heard a loud slamming of the car door and a loud " OEI WHAT U DOING" and a man was behind my car.

I swear that voice belonged to the army.

Not knowing I had reversed into him while he was getting out of his lot: I got out of my car and

shouted back " HEY you don't need to raise your voice at me okay" cos by then pockets of people were staring at us.

( tried to sound damn ah lian but i was trembling like a leaf by then)

 Both our cars were obstructing traffic cos the goon ms lim was in the wrong direction and he didn't move from the point of accident.

so we had to each find a parking lot first.

I  went over to his car,apologised, offered to pay for his damage, it was 2 deep and long scratches from front passenger door to back door.

OKAY U KNOW WHAT : ALL I WANT TO SAY IS FUCK YOU CLARENCE.

You're the UNCOOLEST guy i've ever met.e we spoke on Thursday to confirm Saturday's meeting and I agreed . Friday night he calls and my iphone was on silent and I missed ONE call frm him, saw 2 new texts from him, before i got to read them, he rings me again  so i picked up and he first thing he says to me" sarah, u must remember that you are in the wrong"

Immediately i said " Im sorry clarence i missed your call BUT WHAT DID U SEND ME in your texts, cos i already said i'll meet you so you better tell me what you texted me before i read them"

Pussy says " I'm sorry, just want to confirm 9am at toyota workshop "
then i said "OKAY, see you there"

went to read my texts and he says :

 he has the CCTV to back him up and to show that I was obviously in the wrong and that he can find witnesses easily

SERIOUSLY , HOW UNCOOL IS THAT, he thought I was going to back out from this.

I texted him " there is no need for you to provoke me or threaten me in any way cos I've already given my word to be there"

I've been in an accident with a lady before and everything was smooth, admitted i was in the wrong, settled it in a  private workshop ( she was so considerate to do it there & NOT at the official auto workshops cos they're bound to cut-throat).After the repairs were done, met up and paid and i felt like i was doing my part as a responsible civilian.

 Urgh, the worst $560 i've paid and felt like a complete fool/. to hit into someone, be discounted on my credibility even though i tried my best to assure him and pay so much without having the chance to bargain. So not worth it. The next person who hits into me shall not have a good time either.I'm all ready to go ballistic.

8th Jan:

Realised Fitness First ( 1 george street) has been deducting $261.50 from my account , thought maybe they couldn't deduct from the previous month so I checked my history and hello, another $261.50 appeared in my statement

Gave them a call to ask about my monthly fees cos no way would I have signed up if it was above $200.

Friendly girl Vanessa was really helpful , she confirmed with me my member ship fees shld be $130+

n she'll get back to me.

The manager calls ( yes they are always the one to deliver the shitty news) and says FF has been double-charging me cos of an internal error whereby my card was linked to another lady, so i've been paying for her all this time and she hasn't? or is she being double-charged as well?

Let's see August to January , i've officially paid up for a Year in just 6 mths.

I'm gonna give them this weekend & Monday to settle it before I see them on Tuesday and they better give me 1 whole year of free membership and cash compensation.

Gyms are dodgy when it comes to membership fees, take California Fitness Singapore for example.

Once your "subscription/membership/package whatever its called" ends, they don't give two hoots and still charge to your card.( horrors, yes, they don't stop automatically). They are THAT shameless.

I  signed up with Cali for 2 years membership in start of 2006, and in 2008, i paid for a whole year without going cos i was busy and i kept thinking it was gonna be my last year cos it didn't make any sense they would keep deducting if i only signed up for TWO years and no letter came to request for re-newal.

After a check at the counter, i've been paying for nothing cos the package expired a year ago in 2007, so i terminated it on the spot & i blamed myself for not being more careful.

Just thought i'll rant cos it's not been my week at all.
& BECAUSE ITS SUNDAY, im going to wear a ridiculously bright floral dress to try and "lift" my spirits up.
